Daisy Tan 2009
After battling it out for almost 6 hours under the scorching February sun, Zenith Ace finally emerged tops in the Mixed Category of Daisy Tan Carnival 2009. We fought through all the games with our heart & soul and are proud to have kept our cool throughout, despite the heat which made our every effort on court doubly hard.
Pesta Sukan 2008
Once again, Zenith mixed team performed well in carnivals organised by Netball Singapore. The mixed team came in first position after winning all the games. There were a total of 7 teams that took part in the carnival and SAFSA club proved to be a strong challenger. Zenith took the games in stride and even came fighting back when they were down by a few points. Its the team-playing effort from all players that kept the tempo up to clinch the winning title.
Zhi Mian - "We are the champions - my teammatess And we'll keep on fighting - till the end - We are the champions - We are the champions No time for losers Cause we are the champions - of the Pesta Sukan Mixed -
Woohoo Zenith was crowned Champion of the 2008 Pesta Sukan Mixed Carnival!! Even though we didnt manage to train much together as the team, Zenith players nevertheless exemplified the Zenithian spirit by reaching the peak of their performance as a team to overcome our strong & worthy opponents :) Many thanks to KS for coaching us through Pesta Sukan & Eric for taking over at the later half of the carnival :) I think all of us fought hard to clinch the title & most importantly i think all of us had fun playing together :)".
Game scores for mixed:
1st round Zenith 14 - 5 BBE CSC Zenith 15 - 1 Chongfu Inspire Zenith 6 - 3 Net4all Zenith 10 - 7 NZCC Moa Zenith 12 - 2 NZCC Tuatura Zenith 9 - 7 Safsa Mexx
2nd round Zenith 9 - 4 Net4all Zenith 11 - 5 Safsa Mexx Zenith 7 - 4 Safsa Mexx
Pesta Sukan Women was also enjoyable for the players. The team is kind of new as players did not play together as a team frequently.
In total Zenith played 6 games. For the first few games it was quite messy and the team didn't managed to co-ordinate well. Players were clashing into each other's area. This reflected that players have not got used to each other style of play. For the last 3 games the co-ordination got better.
During the intervals of each game players were all given a chance to share their views on how each other played and how can improvement be achieved. The mood was good and players kept encouraging each other to do better.
Khiok Sing - "Although I'm not there on that day, I understand that it was very close fight for many games. It was sad that we are not able to proceed to 2nd round finishing 3rd in the grouping. But I believe it was a good bonding time for all Zenithians that day.".
Game scores for women's: Zenith 1 - 10 Extreme Sonique Zenith 7 - 6 NYP Zenith 8 - 8 Revive Zenith 5 - 4 ITE College Central Zenith 2 - 2 EXOL Zenith 10 - 4 MI
Energizer National League 2008
The national league this year has been a fruitful one. Zenith played 7 games with strong teams like U17, Extremes Sonique, Bedok CSC etc. The opening match against Extremes was a great moral booster as Zenith overcame the odds to win the game at 46-43. Thereafter the players fought hard to win a total of 4 games, drew 1 and lost 2. Zenith is the overall 2nd position in the table for Division 3 in 2008. This is the first time that Zenith Netball Club came in top 2 positions in Division 3 of Energizer national league. This marked a great step forward for the club, players are fired up and are looking to more high-level skill-based training and physical conditioning to prepare for the next challenging year.
Netball Super League 2008
3 members Eric, KhiokSeng and Nigel from the Zenith mens' division were selected as umpires for this year's NSL. The 3 have progressed far from the days that they came together to represent Singapore for the men's invitational tournament in the Asian netball championships in 2005. They have since honed their skills not just as players but in other aspects such as umpiring and coaching. Although men's netball in Singapore is still not a widely received sport, they have not let this dampen their love for the game and have proved that men can not only play in this sport, but also develop well in other important areas of Netball.
St John Island Trip 2008
After a great start to the winning of the Daisy Tan carnival, Zenith Netball club organised a leisure trip in March to the St John island for a rustic retreat. The retreat enliven the fonding memories of the trip in 2006 where the fun was just too much to be missed. The following are some crazy comments from participants of the event this time round. Putting a group of fun people on an island for a few days do make life alot more interesting than usual.

Daisy Tan Carnival 2008
It was a great start to a great year for Zenith Netball Club who won the Championship & the Runner's Up for the recent Daisy Tan Carnival 2008.
Zenith has always looked forward to such competitions organized by Netball Singapore as they provide them with opportunities to play competitively, especially for their men. As there were more teams in the mixed category this year, it meant more games for the participants. They have enjoyed the sparring, even against our own club team.
In view of the tough opponents they faced in the carnival, it was indicative that the participants, including the men were very much exposed to netball. The standard of netball especially for the mixed category has come a long way - all thanks to Netball Singapore for organizing such carnivals. Zenith will continue to participate actively in the upcoming competitions organized by Netball Singapore. To promote more men playing netball, Zenith will be organizing their annual club mixed netball carnival in September.
Their success formula as a club: commitment, hard work and team camaraderie. Zenith always welcome like-minded netball enthusiasts, both men & women, to join the club so that they can continue to contribute to the development of netball in Singapore.
